Correct documents without spreadsheets
Everything is built from the order in Shopify at the moment you print it, so there's nothing to sync or retype.
Line items, discounts, shipping, duties and each tax rate come straight from the order, in the currency the customer paid. The total is always Shopify's own; if an order ever contains an amount the rows can't explain, it's shown as its own line and flagged for you.
Each invoice gets the next number the moment it's issued, exactly once, even when several are printed at the same time. Your prefix, number of digits, a yearly restart if you want one, and separate numbers for test orders.
Open an order, click Print and choose Mint Invoices: invoice, packing slip or both. Select up to 50 orders in the Orders list to print them in one go.
Prices with or without tax, several rates in one order, stacked taxes like state and city: each rate is listed, with a summary of net amount, tax and gross per rate. Paid in another currency? The tax total can also be shown in your store's currency.
Labels in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Italian, chosen by the customer's language or fixed. Fonts are embedded, so ü, ß, ł, é and € look the same on every printer and phone.
A numbered credit note for every refund, the invoice PDF emailed to customers when they pay, a download button on the order status page for signed-in customers, and two more templates.

Questions merchants ask
When does an invoice get its number?
The first time its invoice is printed or downloaded — or, if you switch it on, as soon as the order is paid. After that the number belongs to that order and every reprint shows the same number and date. Numbers are never reused or skipped.
What about refunds?
An invoice shows the order as it was sold; refunds are documented with credit notes (Pro), each with its own number and a reference to the invoice. The invoice's payment section also shows the amount refunded.
Are the PDFs legally compliant in my country?
The invoice shows what most tax authorities ask for: your legal name, address and tax ID, a unique sequential number, issue date, the customer's address, each item with quantity and price, discounts, and tax per rate with net and gross amounts. Requirements differ by country and business, so check with your accountant. Mint Invoices creates PDF documents; it is not an e-invoicing (XML) system, so it doesn't replace mandatory e-invoicing where that applies.
What counts towards the Free plan's 50 invoices a month?
Only new invoice numbers. Printing or downloading an invoice again, packing slips and test orders don't count. When the month's invoices are used, invoices already issued still print, and new ones can be numbered again from the 1st.
Which orders can I print?
Orders from the last 60 days, which is how far back Shopify lets apps read orders by default. Numbers already issued stay in your document register and CSV export.
Which scripts and characters are supported?
Latin (including Vietnamese and all European accents), Greek and Cyrillic. Characters from other scripts, such as Chinese or Arabic, can't be printed yet and show as “?”.
What does the app store?
Your settings and logo, and for each document its number, date, order number and totals — never customers' names, email addresses or addresses. PDFs are made on demand from Shopify's order data and not stored.
Every order, properly invoiced.
